Basis and purpose of the Union of Baptist Churches in the Netherlands

The Baptist Union municipalities that constitute life in the revelation of God as the Bible has come to them. Their members profess, in obedience to the Scriptures, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Head of the Churches and the Lord of the world have accepted as their Savior and Lord and are baptized in this confession.

The purpose of the Union:

• To promote love, respect and cooperation among its members ;
• The municipalities assist in carrying out their duties and opportunities to create the principles of the municipality to publish and to spread the Gospel;
• Cooperate to spread the Gospel in the Netherlands and abroad.

Or, in other words:
The Union of Baptist Churches aims to help local Baptist communities in interdependence grow in worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and witness.
