Supporting missionaries
Many with a Baptist background still feel involved in the Union Mission. The Union has for years as people sending organization aired on the mission field. But because of global trends, and increasing cooperation with Brazil (church) mission organizations has in recent years a change has taken place, thus the emphasis on local community has come to be. The new Policy Package and Diaconate is this new trend in policy commitments, which resulted in that Hans and Aisha Oosterloo currently the only 'Union Missionaries' are. On the other hand, there are many (over 50) missionaries from various local municipalities broadcast.
By sending missionaries come watch many things: calling, mission, finances, home committee, the support of the community, etc. Although the Union itself no longer sends missionaries if they do support local communities, particularly through advice and make connections. On this page of the website you find information that is involved in sending missionaries, divided into information for the missionary himself, committee homes, community leadership and people who want shorter time step. Read here more about ways that the Baptist Union can help local churches to take care of their missionaries.
