New step towards a merger with ABC churches

The Dutch Baptist Union made a new step towards a possible merger with the Alliance of Baptists and CAMA churches (ABC). That is the most important outcome of the General Assembly Saturday, November 19th in Arnhem.

There should be more support for small churches, the Union Contribution may still rise and the Union is dating! These developments and more were heard at the General Assembly of our Union on May 20 and 21 in Hardegarijp.
During the General Assembly on May 21 and 20, various anniversaries are celebrated. For children there is children's theater Simon and So, while afterwards gospel singer Martin Brand gives a concert.
At the General Assembly last night, the Baptist Union signed a cooperation contract with Youth for Christ. Anita Eijkelboom was introduces as the new youth coach of the Union. The congregations that were present expressed appreciation for this investment in youth work.
On Friday, November 19, took the fall meeting of the General Assembly in the building of the Baptist church in Apeldoorn Bosweg 1977 in Apeldoorn. Special guest was Dr. Nigel Wright, the principal of Spurgeon's College in London.
