Impression of the General Assembly in Hardegarijp
There should be more support for small municipalities, the Union Contribution may still rise and the Union dating! These developments and more were heard at the General Assembly of our Union in 1920 and 21 May 2011 in Hardegarijp. 
The municipality Noordbergum was our host and had everything neatly arranged to receive the more than 100 delegates, while many guests. Friday night was a special service and Lord's Supper, with the anniversaries of the municipality and Friesian Association were celebrated, followed by a great concert with gospel choir from Martin Fire Mission.
Service and concert were recorded by the "Airtime for Churches" and on June 19 broadcast.
Workshops
On Friday and Saturday, the conference blocks interspersed with several workshops on
- 'City a safe-house'
- "Future predecessor shelf '
- "Inspired by faith"
- Inter-generative church '
- 'Debt'
From the many comments and questions for further information revealed that these subjects are in keeping with what the churches alive. The available time was too short.
Missional congregation 
During the meeting various business units were discussed. The annual reports of the Union and many areas were identified. About the finanle report that there were no doubts in themselves, but because the auditor and the balance is not available in time, it was the formal approval was postponed. The evaluation of the multiyear delegates were asked what the most important in the communities: the Religious Affairs, the Building, the missional church-are the Youth of the Diaconate. Union Council members in the audience asked for spontaneous responses to those questions and the reverse question of what the least important. "The building" was still the lowest score, as we wish especially his missionary congregation.
Support small municipalities 
The proposals on "fund support small communities 'and pilot interim pastors' provided much food for talk. Basically it was found out that idea, but the question was raised whether the funding was sufficient. The meeting was supposed to complement the funding from the general reserve, ensuring that more communities can be helped.At the AV was a new brochure distributed to all forms of support for small municipalities.
The "discussion note on fundraising" was partly as a background to the Union finance itself. But from an indicative poll showed that the delegates would still rather opt for increasing the Union's Contribution, then alternatives such as fixed contributions from friends, donations or fund-raising questions. They thought it was a consideration to make operations more cost coverage, so have some ambitions to be adjusted to reduce costs.
Courtship 
In AV book was also an interim report of the 'Committee on Interchurch Cooperation, which has identified opportunities for cooperation with other municipalities and organizations. The oral presentation showed that the ABC municipalities have reacted very positively. Their meeting has immediately agreed to a merger. At the meeting it was unexpected spontaneous reaction compared with a marriage proposal.But our Union is not there: we would prefer for a while "dating" each other a little better acquainted.
Also we heard from the 'Pensions Commission Investigation, "PGGM that transfer to come through, but that the modest payments in the past still remains the basis of the pension and no longer repairable.
Two AV's 
After exchanging a few questions and ideas agreed to the proposal that two general meetings per year to keep, but which then typically will last only one day, because now more people seem to arrive.
Then Noordbergum is history written with the latter two-day Meeting, which we will remember as hospitable, friendly and well-organized.
